Hot Bodies

First, let me say...

But there is a limit to my love.   For instance, this is hot -

This is definitely not (lol)-

Here is an example of toned hotties!

And back to the.. not so much.

maybe it is just her hair....

Steroids? No thanks.

But a walk on the beach sounds good....

Oh look she is on the beach too!

And this girl is in the mountains... I think this one belongs on the love side, what do you think?

That's a lot of alcohol!

I just got these stats from a Halloween house party I attended. Wowza!

Maybe that is why my friend, Neal, and I looked like this...

And this guy definitely had the best costume. He scared me!

Hooray for Halloween parties! Did you attend a party of note?

October!

Wowza another month of our lives has passed. And, what a great month it was! My family came for a visit, it was Halloween, I was not last place in every cyclocross race, I hung out with some wicked cool peeps, and I even made a few new friends. Thankfully, I have my iPet to document the good times. Check it.

This lil' player told me he liked me, said I was pretty, and then asked me to go to his hotel rm because he had a huge couch.

Holy Sunglasses, Batman!

I <3 the Laurelthirst Pub. I eat breakfast there often and am always shocked when people order booze before noon.

Susan and John came to PDX and we had the BEST time

Yes, this type of corruption may send me, and my team, to the hot place.

Really?

vOTE!

I just finished filling out my ballot and feel GREAT!  I, of course, did my best to vote for representatives who have my best interests in mind when making decisions and laws ---  translation: I want bike riding, puppy loving, spreadsheet making politicians who like to dance.

Make sure you don't forget to vote. And, if you need some inspiration to get out there...

Getting Dirty!

This is a great video of last weeks cyclocross race. It was shot and edited by Burk Webb and you can find it here along with the other cross races of the season! Good Stuff :)

Sister Photography!

I love photography. I especially love photos that give me energy and elicit emotion. Which was why I was so excited when I came across Mr. Jason Lee's photography and couldn't help but wiggle in my chair with warm fuzzies.

Jason has a photo blog featuring his two beautiful daughters. The photos portray a special family bond that focuses on having fun and celebrating life. They reminded me of some of the great fun I had with my own siblings. Check out his blog  here.

Cool stuff from other peeps

There are two things I found inspiring on the world wide web today, and I would like to share.
First, a video that my friend Corey shared on her facebook page. Ya'll know I love a good dance sesh and this one had me at the edge of my seat. I MUST learn how to move my body this way!

Second, from the blog Cup of Joe, a bit of design inspiration. Seeing this picture made me fall in love with the idea of poster size family pictures! Find her full blog post, including a link to the whole magazine spread, here.

Race Day

A quick post to feature a few pics from this past weekend's cyclocross race. These pics are especially significant and lovely, because the subjects are all dear to my heart. Find the complete gallery at www.pdxcross.com.

Beards!

Have I ever mentioned that I think beards are sexy? Well, I do. If you are a guy, you should try one out. Sure they have a knack for accumulating wayward crumbs and they require more maintenance than my dilapidated house (no one should have a neck beard) - but they must come in handy on cold days. Why else would Santa always sport one?

If you are like me and have a bald face, you should buy one of these. I think the beardhead would be perfect for my morning commute! $24.99; www.beardhead.com

Cyclocross!

I have bruises on my hips and chain oil embedded underneath my nails. My voice is hoarse and my legs are sore. I think that pdxcross.com put it best when they said-- "but the season’s first Cross Crusade felt a whole lot like a big ole’ family reunion."

I have been anticipating the start of Cyclocross season for weeks now. To the point where I was almost too nervous to get out there... but as soon as I saw the familiar faces and heard the ringing of cowbells, my nervoussness turned to relief - I love this.

For the next few Mondays I am going to give you a race update and feature the amazing photography from pdxcross.com. This group of photographers capture the essence of the guts and glory that I have come to adore. Check it.

In Review!

Another month has flown right past us! The September air always makes me feel nostalgic - maybe it is because September is a beauty of a month with hints of both summer and fall. Here are some of my favorite moments of the month, courtesy of my iPet. :-D

Haircut with Sean at ENTRUST (ne pDX). He rocks.

Morning walks with the Dog and Cat

Bike Lock Cozies!

This bumper sticker makes me laugh every morning! I am so curious as to who's it is.

 Hiking into the clouds.

Dance Parties! I had a few of these this month :-)

New York Times Fame!

This past summer I had the great honor of being a part of my sister and brother in-law's wedding. You see, Sarah and Andy are sort of amazing. They are a kind, generous, intelligent, funny and very outgoing couple who love to experience life on bikes :-)    They are so amazing, in fact, that when the New York Times caught wind of their love story, they sent a photographer and reporter to the wedding for a full report.

What is even more fun is that Andy and Sarah thought it would be perfectly appropriate to ride away from the church on bikes after their official nuptials, wedding dress and all. I couldn't have a greed more, which was why I was more than delighted to be asked to decorate the bikes and be able to make a contribution to the fun.

The moment was caught on camera and made it into the front page of the New York Times Vows section. Read the full story here.

Well, now I am even more excited - because the NYT has decided to use the below picture of Andy and Sarah with their wedding get-away bikes in a  national promotion of their weekend coverage.

Holla if you see Sarah and Andy's back sides on a news stand or the side of a bus!
Congratulations you crazy kids!
